Introduction :
Les péricardites purulentes non tuberculeuses sont rares. L’objectif de cette étude était de décrire la prise en charge d’un cas de péricardite purulente compliquant une pneumonie chez un patient de 9 ans et de faire une revue de la littérature.
Observation :
il s’agissait d’un cas de péricardite parapneumonique avec collection péricardique importante compliquant une pneumonie associée à une pleurésie survenant chez un enfant sans antécédent particulier. La recherche étiologique n’était pas contributive ; le patient avait bénéficié d’une antibiothérapie probabiliste associe à un drainage péricardique ayant conduit à la résolution de la collection.
Conclusion :
Les péricardites purulentes non tuberculeuses sont rares leur prise est basée sur l’antibiothérapie et le drainage péricardique. Lorsque la bactériologie n’est pas contributive, l’antibiothérapie doit être dirigée selon la porte d’entrée.
