Abstract

Introduction :
Benign adnexal tumor of the hair follicles, familial multiple trichoepithelioma (MFT), is a genetic disease with autosomal dominant transmission. The aim is to report a familial case of trichoepithelioma at Zinder National Hospital.

Observation :
patient B.I, aged 24, with a family history of similar dermatoses in the mother, older brother and two sisters, presenting for 14 years with solid lesions on the face and scalp. Clinical examination revealed multiple papules and nodules, discreetly erythematous, asymptomatic, confluent in places to form tumoral masses of variable size, symmetrically arranged mainly on the face, and a few papular elements scattered over the scalp. Histological examination showed an unremarkable epidermis, a dermis with nests of basaloid cells with low mitotic activity and central corneal cysts delimited by a fibrous stroma with prominent sebaceous glands. We opted for therapeutic abstention, psychological support and clinical monitoring of the patient.

Conclusion :
Trichoepitheliomas are benign tumours that mainly pose therapeutic and aesthetic problems, especially in our context.
