Abstract
Introduction :
Gastric trichobezoar is a rare condition characterized by the unusual presence of hair in the form of a solid mass in the stomach. We report a clinical case of gastric trichobezoar.
Observation :
The patient was a 37-year-old albino farmer, anxious without family support, with no psychiatric or trichophagy history, admitted to the emergency department for melena and chronic epigastralgia for one year. Clinical and paraclinical examinations led to the diagnosis of gastric trichobezoar, which was extracted endoscopically. The patient was discharged after 05 days in hospital.
Conclusion :
Gastric trichobezoad is a rare pathology. Management is endoscopic and psychological
